NECROLIST

Brief Introduction

A visual novel about Lucille and Yvaine’s relationship enabled through the use of the Necrolist app as Lucille has to do Yvaine’s bucket list tasks, with simple to control interactive mini games primarily through mouse controls.

This demo contains the events of CHAPTER 11 of Necrolist's story as the playable game, as the full game intends to have 13 chapters total. The game was made as a graduation project for both Fenrys and Theguyser over the course of 3 months. Some CGs may look unfinished so please bear with us (Fenrys almost broke his hand and his sleep schedule).

Controls

• Left Click - progress dialogue and interact with objects on screen for minigames
• Mouse Position - used for checking if player performs a drag click or moves the background or character depending on scene

Shopping Minigame Controls

• Mouse Hover to Left or Right Side of Screen - moves Lucille and her shopping cart to catch items

Driving Minigame Controls

• Left Click, Drag Left, Drag Up,  Drag Down, Drag Left, Drag Right - actions player performs to complete QTEs on signs

Forest Scene Controls

• Drag and Drop Left Click - Pick up items to place on picnic blanket

Stargazing Controls

• Hover mouse on left side of screen - Rotate Night sky towards the left
• Hover mouse on right side of screen - Rotate Night sky towards the right
• Drag Left Click - Connect Stars together to form a constellation

Characters 

Lucille Yang

A shut-in who took on to complete Yvaine’s bucket list. Her outlook on life was blank, always wanting to avoid social interactions as much as possible out of fear of rejection and bullying. Over the months of completing her companion’s tasks, she forges a genuine connection and relearns her sense of self.

Yvaine Lewis

A girl whose medical history had taken her life away from her. Accustomed to facing harsh realities, she still tries to be positive no matter how rough a situation may be. She doesn’t like any conversation that digs deeper into her background as she had manifested a fear of anything medical related.
